- Why
would I buy artwork without first seeing what Im buying?
A) Your custom artwork or unique greeting is developed from
your vision, just as the florist personalizes your bouquet,
by choosing the right flora and the appropriate arrangement
for any occasion. Yes, the finished product will have been purchased
sight unseen, but the vision and sentiment from
which it was created will not have been an unknown. Your previous
artwork or greeting card purchases have been off the rack
purchases, and have been promptly discarded. Your Avant-Art
custom art or unique greeting is an original work, which will
be cherished as such. So, though purchased sight unseen
in the literal sense, your art purchase is a creation borne
of your vision and sentiment.
- What
if I dont like the artwork or greeting; can I get my money
back?
A) As with traditional greetings, the short answer is no.
As with art purchased at a gallery, no returns or exchanges
will be accepted. However, Avant-Art originals, as with art
purchased at auction or through a gallery, there may be resale
value, perhaps even appreciation over time in terms of value.
Each Avant-Art artist has created art which is purchased not
only for the sake of the beauty inherent to the work, but for
the potential financial upside which might stem from resale.
One final note: though the buyer may not appreciate the art
or greeting created by Avant-Art, the recipient of the art may
very well be overjoyed with the art. Browse our samples

and your investment will prove to be a wise investment. Our
seven artists have over 160 years combined experience and success
as artists.
- Will
my artwork arrive framed?
A) No. Professional framing is not our forte; because we wont
know where your art will be displayed, or what type of frame,
backing and enclosure will best suit your new artworks
environment, we recommend you seek out the services of a framing
professional. Speak to gallery owners in your area, or search
on line for framing professionals in your area. Many galleries
employ framing professionals; at the very least, they may guide
you to a framing professional in your area.
- Can
I change my Avant-Art order to reflect a message that differs
from the original message I wished to convey?
A) Yes. However, after 7-10 days from receiving your request
our creative staff will be well underway in their artistic process
and will find it difficult to implement major changes. Most
often, however, your proposed changes are exactly what our artists
need to hear. We can best create magnificent artistic greetings
when we receive effective communication from you. So, if you
want to make changes to your original request, please tell us!
- Are
Avant-Art greetings produced on standard size greeting card
stock? Do they look like regular greeting cards?
A) No. Avant-Art greetings bear no resemblance to off-the-rack
greetings. Each Avant-Art greeting is a distinctive greeting,
custom created for an individual buyer to convey a unique and
personal message, in an exclusive design. An Avant-Art greeting,
for example, might be on an 8 by 10-foot canvas, or a twin-sized
bed sheet, or a matchbook-size onionskin or parchment. Each
of our greetings is both masterful and unique.
- How
do I know Avant-Art artists are any good?
A) We invite you to visit the samples page on our
web site; select the artist bio option, where you
can familiarize yourself with each artists professional
accomplishments, their style and favored media, as well as a
few personal notes. The assurance from Avant-Art is that artists
create art; machinery stamps out greeting cards. Avant-Art relies
upon artists, their passion as well as their inestimable talents.
- Where
can I visit an Avant-Art gallery?
A) Avant-Art artists are at work in their own studios throughout
the United States. We do not have stores because our distinctive,
unique art and greetings only begin to take shape when we first
begin to communicate with our customer. Consequently, we have
no inventory to display. This practice maintains the integrity
of our product offering and assures we continue to use only
our strengths; our strengths, of course, are the ability and
agility to create quality, innovative, distinctive custom art
creations.
- How

- Can
I get an Avant-Art greeting without text? I might want to supply
my own text.
A) Yes, of course. Our job is to create what you envision, to
bring to life the emotions you wish to express. When our customer
says, No text! we provide no text.
- Are
there Avant-Art creations available for use in the business
world? If so, where and under what circumstances?
A) There are a multitude of business applications for Avant-Art
exclusive greetings, all of which set the sender apart from
the pack of mundane, everyday traditional business greetings.

creations to unique proposal geetings designed to generate agreements
and sales. Our creations reflect the innovative, resourceful
and profitable characteristics inherent to your Company, your
service, and your value as a business partner. With Avant-Art
there are no boundaries.
- How
long will I wait to receive my Avant-Art signature artwork or
greeting?
A) Typically, a 4-week lead-time can be expected from the date
we receive all the information vital to the creative process
and your order, to the time you receive your signature artwork
or greeting. We advise more time be allowed for the more ambitious
creations, and of course, less time for those undertakings less
complicated.
- What
is the process for ordering one of your unique, custom art pieces
or greetings?
A) First, our customer will visit Art Consult and
answer the series of questions that appear there. These questions
help us give form to the customers vision. We will communicate
via email with the customer to make sure we are proceeding in
the proper direction, given the customers wishes. Once
we have our design in place, we will respond to the customers
Art Consult entry with proposed text for the greeting,
if a greeting is being sought, as well as a general design plan
for the artwork. Once the customer approves the design and plan
for the artwork or unique greeting, we will provide the customer
with purchase price for the work, including shipping and insurance.
The customer at that point will place the order for the work.
When the order has been placed, we will commence work immediately
on the piece and estimate a completion date. When work on the
piece is completed, we will contact the customer to inform the
work will be shipped overnight to the customers designated
ship-to address.
- Why
is there insurance placed on the greeting shipment?
A) All of our custom artwork and unique greetings are insured
for their purchase price. This way, if art is damaged, the customer
is not out any money. Because each of our greetings is unique,
none can be duplicated, so replacement is out of the question.
Insuring each piece for its respective purchase price
assures our customers they will receive value, and that this
value is protected.
- Does
Avant-Art produce only gallery artwork and greeting cards?
A) No, Avant-Art produces family histories, anthologies and
business dedication pieces as well, each constructed and designed
specifically for the individual requesting the piece. We will
accept photos from family albums, for example, to create stunning
artistic recreations of family history using watercolor, acrylic,
pencil, pen & ink or whatever media might be otherwise designated
by our customer. Our artists, of course, complete the art portion
and typically require more time to create and complete more
time-consuming projects. Please bear this in mind: anthologies,
histories, business dedication pieces cannot quickly be completed;
allow us some lead-time, especially in those instances where
multiple communications will be required.
